Role Description The Electrician role at Specialised Energy Solutions is a full-time, on-site position based in Australia. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems associated with solar and battery storage projects, including wiring, switchgear, inverters, and protection systems. This role includes performing scheduled and corrective maintenance, fault-finding, inspecting and testing installations, and ensuring all work complies with Australian standards, regulations, and company safety procedures.

The Electrician will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to support new site developments, contribute to commissioning activities, and assist with technical product support when installation or performance issues occur.



Daily responsibilities also involve completing documentation, reporting on work performed, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with #theSESstandard.

Qualifications

- Relevant electrical trade qualification and current electrician license valid in Australia, with demonstrated experience in industrial or utility-scale electrical installations.
- Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar and battery storage electrical systems, including inverters, switchboards, cabling, and protection devices.
- Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards, wiring rules, and safety regulations, with a proven commitment to safe work practices and risk management.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications, and to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Experience working on construction or operational sites, including performing O&M; tasks, participating in commissioning, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, follow procedures, and provide clear updates and documentation.
- Physical ability to work in outdoor environments, at heights or in confined spaces when required, and willingness to travel to various renewable energy sites.
- Desirable: Experience in the renewable energy sector, knowledge of SCADA or monitoring systems, current drivers license, and relevant safety certifications (e.g., CPR, first aid, working at heights).
