You'll be working on a pioneering mining project in the West Pilbara region, operating on 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off roster. This state-of-the-art operation leverages cutting-edge technologies to minimize environmental impact while enhancing efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities
As a Qualified ETO, you will:
- Report directly to the Chief Engineering Officer.
- Conduct all electrical and electronic maintenance onboard the vessel/s and complex Materials Handling System.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, including classification societies, wiring and electrical standards, and maritime regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and document all maintenance activities.
- Coordinate and work alongside other departments to ensure minimum production downtime and maximum efficiency.
Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid AMSA Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) Certificate of Competency (CoC) A-III/6 from or relevant Certificate of Recognition (CoR).
- WA Electrical Licence
- An AMSA Certificate of Safety Training (CoST).
- An AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness.
- The ability to hold a valid Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
- Experience with contemporary Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), instrumentation and automation systems are essential.
- Experience with computers, networking and data communications with proficiency in relevant software for diagnostics, configuration, and record keeping.
- A methodical self-starter that’s adept at diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and electronic issues and faults.
- A proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting.
