The Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to develop and grow strategic enterprise customer relationships across Victoria.
You will be responsible for identifying, creating and closing complex cybersecurity opportunities within large organisations while developing long-term relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
This is a strategic sales role requiring strong account planning, executive engagement, commercial judgement and the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying environments.
You will work closely with Solutions Engineering, Delivery, vendor partners and distributors to bring together ACPL’s technology, qualified services, managed services and MDR capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own revenue growth and strategic account development across an assigned portfolio of enterprise organisations in Victoria.
- Develop new enterprise opportunities through strategic prospecting, executive engagement, account mapping, partner collaboration and industry networks.
- Build comprehensive account plans covering customer priorities, organisational structure, whitespace opportunities, competitive positioning and strategic growth initiatives.
- Establish trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, senior IT and security leaders, procurement teams and executive stakeholders.
- Lead complex customer discovery conversations covering cybersecurity strategy, transformation priorities,
commercial requirements and long-term business objectives.
- Coordinate Solutions Engineers, delivery specialists and other internal resources throughout complex sales engagements.
- Position ACPL’s consulting, professional services, managed security services and MDR capabilities alongside strategic cybersecurity platforms.
- Manage complex sales cycles involving technical validation, commercial proposals, procurement, legal review, negotiation and contracting.
- Develop multi-year customer growth strategies including expansion, cross-sell and lifecycle opportunities.
- Work closely with strategic technology vendors and distributors on joint account planning, executive engagement and pipeline development.
- Maintain disciplined opportunity management, CRM hygiene and forecast accuracy.
- Ensure effective transition of successfully closed opportunities into delivery.
Essential Experience and Capability
- Demonstrated success in enterprise B2B technology or cybersecurity sales.
- Experience owning significant sales targets and complex enterprise opportunities.
- Strong strategic account planning and new-business development capability.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organisations and multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.
- Executive-level communication and customer engagement capability.
- Strong commercial judgement across pricing, margin, negotiation, procurement and contracting.
- Experience selling complex technology, cybersecurity or services-led solutions.
- Ability to coordinate technical, commercial and executive resources around strategic opportunities.
- Strong forecasting,
pipeline management and CRM discipline.
- Ability to develop long-term strategic customer relationships rather than purely transactional sales.
Highly Desirable
- Cybersecurity sales experience within the Australian and/or New Zealand enterprise market.
- Experience working with strategic cybersecurity vendors such as Cloudflare, Netskope, Zscaler, Microsoft or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Existing relationships across enterprise or large corporate organisations within Victoria.
- Experience developing opportunities with CISOs, CIOs and senior cybersecurity decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of vendor, distributor and services-partner ecosystems.
- Experience positioning professional services, managed security services, MDR and recurring services.
- Knowledge of enterprise procurement, contracting and governance environments.
- Awareness of ACSC Essential Eight, ISO 27001, APRA CPS 234 and other relevant ANZ cybersecurity requirements.
What Success Looks Like
- You establish and grow strategic relationships within priority enterprise accounts.
- You create a strong pipeline of qualified, high-value cybersecurity opportunities.
- Complex sales opportunities progress with clear commercial strategy and stakeholder alignment.
- Your forecasts are accurate and supported by disciplined account and opportunity management.
- You expand relationships beyond individual transactions into broader strategic partnerships.
- Customers, vendor partners and internal teams recognise you as a trusted commercial advisor.
