With over a decade of construction industry experience, the company works across residential and commercial projects throughout the Greater Melbourne Area, using fibre cement, ACC panels, timber, WPC, aluminium battens, render, Fyrchek, and architectural cladding systems. 7StarCladding partners closely with builders, site supervisors, and project teams to ensure correct sequencing, compliant installation, and waterproof detailing. By prioritizing performance, coordination, and quality workmanship, the company helps reduce delays, minimise trade conflicts, and prevent water damage and other façade-related defects.

Role Description This part-time Estimator role is a hybrid position based in the Greater Melbourne Area, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home tasks. The Estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates for cladding and façade packages, including material take-offs, labour allowances, and subcontractor costs for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing architectural drawings and specifications, clarifying project scope with builders and project teams, and obtaining and analyzing supplier and subcontractor quotations.

The Estimator will build and maintain estimating templates, update cost databases,



and assist in preparing tenders, variations, and budgets that align with compliance and performance requirements. The role also involves collaborating with operations staff to ensure accurate handover of project budgets and supporting value engineering initiatives that improve project outcomes.

Qualifications

- Robust estimating skills in construction or cladding, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and tender preparation.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and building codes relevant to façades and external cladding.
- Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools); experience with construction management systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cladding materials and systems (e.g., fibre cement, ACC panels, timber, WPC, aluminium battens, render, Fyrchek, architectural cladding).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with builders, site supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, estimating, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Understanding of compliance, waterproof detailing, and best-practice installation methods for façades is highly beneficial.
