About the role

AllState Linemarking is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Estimator to join our team in Stapylton. You will work alongside our experienced estimating and operations teams, progressively developing your skills and taking greater responsibility for estimates and tenders. We welcome applications from experienced estimators as well as junior or entry-level candidates who may have limited or no direct estimating experience but have strong numerical skills, attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn.

For the right junior candidate, training, guidance and support will be provided.

Key responsibilities

- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Prepare estimates, quotations and tender submissions
- Complete quantity take-offs and measurements
- Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Calculate labour, plant, materials and mobilisation costs
- Identify tender qualifications, exclusions and commercial risks
- Assist with tender clarifications, variations and other commercial requirements
- Work closely with Operations to understand construction methods and productivity
- Support the handover of successful tenders to Operations
- Review project performance against estimated costs and productivity

About you

- Has estimating,



civil construction or relevant commercial experience OR is a junior candidate keen to build a career in estimating
- Has strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is confident using Microsoft Excel and willing to learn other systems
- Can interpret, or is willing to learn to interpret, drawings and specifications
- Is organised and able to work to deadlines
- Communicates professionally with clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Is reliable, accountable and willing to learn
- Experience in civil construction, roads, infrastructure, linemarking, coatings or related industries will be highly regarded but is not essential for the right junior candidate
