The Role The APS 4 Executive Assistant (EA) provides high-level secretarial support to the Commander 10th Brigade.
Key responsibilities will include
- Managing, coordinating and prioritising the Commander’s diary, appointments and administrative requirements.
- Coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements for the Commander, including the management and acquittal of CMS transactions.
- Preparing draft correspondence, briefing material and other administrative documentation, while managing incoming and outgoing communications.
- Assisting with the planning, coordination and delivery of official visits, events and ceremonial functions.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including Australian Defence Force personnel, government representatives and civilian partners.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be adaptable, responsive and capable of managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion. The role may require flexibility, including availability at short notice and the capacity to work extended or irregular hours to support operational requirements.
About our Team
10th Brigade commands four subordinate units and is responsible for delivering the Army's long-range strike and missile defence capabilities. Headquarters 10th Brigade is located within the Edinburgh Defence Precinct at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. The headquarters comprises a diverse workforce of military and civilian personnel who work collaboratively to achieve Defence objectives and support the Brigade's operational priorities.
Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have proven experience providing executive or administrative support in a fast-paced, high-tempo environment. They will possess a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and electronic records management systems, with the ability to manage information accurately and efficiently.
The successful applicant will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish credibility, build trust and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. They will be highly organised, adaptable and capable of managing competing priorities, while delivering high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes and with a robust attention to detail.
Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 1”.
