The Chief Executive Branch is responsible for supporting the functions of the Authority and promoting the National Capital to the broader community. This Branch has sections involving executive support, major projects, media and communication.

The Executive Support team sits within the Chief Executive Branch and is responsible for providing high level support to the following senior executives:

- Chief Executive
- Chief Operating Officer
- Chief Planner

The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and coordination support to NCA senior executives, ensuring priorities are managed effectively and efficiently. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach to delivering high-quality support services.

Under general direction, key duties of the Executive Assistant will include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Provide high-level EA, administrative and coordination support to NCA Senior Executive Service (SES) officers, including managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, and proactively managing competing priorities and commitments.
2. Support the planning and delivery of a range of meetings, including Board meetings, by coordinating travel and accommodation, and arranging venues, catering, and other logistical requirements.
3. Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including emails and telephone enquiries, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring timely and qualified responses.
4.



Contribute to the preparation and coordination of Senate Estimates briefs, Ministerial submissions, and parliamentary enquiries, as required.
5. Coordinate travel arrangements and process travel bookings and reconciliations in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
6. Provide finance administration support, including corporate credit card acquittals, reimbursements and related transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
7. Assist in the preparation of documents by undertaking formatting, proofreading and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, consistency and presentation standards are met prior to submission.
8. Handle highly sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
9. Actively contribute as a collaborative member of the NCA, providing support across the organisation and undertaking additional duties as reasonably required.

Employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS). All applicants offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a pre-engagement screening check, even if they have a security clearance. The screening check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.

The successful candidate/s will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a specified clearance level. The successful applicant/s must be willing to share all relevant and required information.
