About the role
Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking a highly capable Executive Support Officer (ESO) to provide exceptional support to senior Health Executives within a complex hospital environment in this full time, 6-month maximum term contract opportunity.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services – Mater Hospital Brisbane, this role plays a critical part in coordinating executive workflows, communications and priorities across clinical and operational portfolios. This role will work as part of the wider Executive administrative team to ensure organisational alignment and support the organisational strategy.
Salary range: $46.96 - $51.73 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
You will provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to enable effective communication, coordination and decision-making across the organisation.
- Organising meetings and workshops, preparing agendas, distributing papers, taking minutes and following up on actions
- Managing diary commitments and maintaining an efficient document management system for confidential materials
- Acting as a professional intermediary between the Director of Clinical Services and internal/external stakeholders, managing enquiries and information flow
- Prioritising and processing incoming correspondence, reports and emails to support timely decision-making
- Collating and drafting reports and high-quality written correspondence for dissemination to staff and stakeholders
- Exercising sound judgement to resolve day-to-day operational issues and support organisational strategy
- Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while upholding Mater Values
- Demonstrating advanced IT skills to efficiently utilise Microsoft Office and other systems for administrative tasks
About you
You are organised, proactive and thrive in complex, high-pressure environments.
- 5+ years experience supporting senior executives in large, complex organisations
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication (executive-level)
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and sensitive information
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship skills
Healthcare or similarly regulated experience is highly regarded.
