SA Ducting manufactures commercial HVAC ductwork from our Salisbury workshop including rectangular duct, and custom Pieces for Contractors.

As part of the Highrise group, much of our production feeds directly into our own commercial mechanical projects across Adelaide. That gives our workshop a reliable pipeline of work and allows us to plan for long-term growth.

We’re now looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker who can fabricate accurately, work independently and help us continue building a productive, well-run workshop.

The role

Working directly with our Production Manager, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day manufacturing of ductwork from shop drawings through to dispatch.

Your responsibilities will include

- Reading shop drawings and setting out ductwork accurately
- Fabricating rectangular Duct
- Manufacturing transitions, offsets, shoes, boots, radius bends and other fittings
- Operating folders, guillotines, notchers and rollers
- Flanging, cleating, sealing and preparing ductwork for insulation or dispatch
- Checking completed work against drawings and dimensions
- Identifying problems before they reach site
- Helping organise workflow and maintain production standards
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised and protected

This isn’t a role where you’ll be buried under layers of management. You’ll work closely with the person running production, have input into how work moves through the shop and be trusted to get the job done properly.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:
- Practical experience in light-gauge sheet metal fabrication
- Previous HVAC ductwork manufacturing experience
- The ability to read shop drawings and set out work independently




- Confidence operating a folder and guillotine
- Strong attention to measurements, quality and presentation
- A reliable, straightforward approach to work
- The ability to work well with a small production team

If you’re time-served in a duct shop and can demonstrate that you know the work, we want to hear from you.

Advantageous, but not essential

- Coil line or plasma-cutting experience
- Experience with TDF or Ductmate flanging systems
- Forklift licence
- Commercial HVAC installation experience
- Experience coordinating workflow or assisting junior workers

If you don’t currently hold a forklift licence, we can arrange and pay for the training.
