About the role

We're looking for an experienced and safety-focused Extruder Operator to join our production team in Dandenong.

In this hands-on role, you will operate pet food extrusion and associated processing equipment, monitor critical production parameters and complete quality checks to ensure our products meet food safety, quality and production requirements. You will also help identify equipment or process issues and contribute to continuous improvement across the production area.

What you'll be doing

- Safely operate pet food extrusion and associated processing equipment
- Monitor and adjust temperature, moisture, pressure and throughput settings
- Complete product quality checks
- Perform equipment start-ups, shutdowns,



product changeovers and cleaning
- Monitor raw material supply and support an efficient production flow
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation
- Identify and report equipment faults, process deviations and quality concerns
- Follow food safety, GMP, HACCP and workplace safety requirements
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the production area
- Contribute ideas that reduce waste and improve operational efficiency

What you'll bring

- High school certificate or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience operating extrusion, processing or manufacturing equipment
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
- Robust mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- The ability to monitor and adjust process settings to maintain product quality
- Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
- A strong commitment to workplace safety, food safety and quality
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
