Progressive Sydney educational establishment require a competent and dynamic facilities skilled to ensure that all buildings and infrastructure assets remain compliant with relevant legislation, regulations, codes, and internal policies. Reporting to the Head of FM, you will collaborate with stakeholders across all faculties and oversee statutory compliance, planned maintenance scheduling, asset information and contractor performance across a large and varied university environment. You will manage the systems, schedules and processes that support compliance across all buildings and infrastructure.

You will ensure required inspections, certifications, registrations and maintenance activities are properly scheduled, completed, documented and reported.

Primary Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain the Master Compliance Schedule, ensuring inspections, testing, certifications and statutory activities are accurately captured and monitored.
- Coordinate compliance processes and resources to meet critical deadlines, including the timely submission of documentation to councils and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Oversee compliance activities relating to areas such as fire safety, electrical safety, hydraulics, pressure vessels, fall-arrest systems, cooling towers, hazardous materials and building requirements.
- Manage programmed maintenance and inspections within the facilities management system, aligning activities with the Maintenance and Compliance Framework.
- Maintain plant and equipment registrations and support the integrity of the university's asset information.
- Maintain registers, certifications, plans, service records and supporting documentation in accessible central systems.
- Maintain a consistent, reliable asset register that supports condition assessment,



maintenance planning and capital planning.

You will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience using and administering computer-aided facilities management systems, such as BEIMS, Archibus or an equivalent platform.
- Strong maintenance planning, scheduling and workflow-coordination capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of asset management principles and asset lifecycle planning
- In-depth understanding of built-environment compliance requirements, including the National Construction Code, fire-safety regulations and Annual Fire Safety Statements.
- Sound working knowledge of statutory inspections, essential-services maintenance and audit processes.
- Strong analytical, reporting, risk-assessment and decision-making skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of compliance documentation, briefing notes and audit responses.

You will bring a proven and extensive working knowledge of large portfolio asset lifecycle and data management, condition assessment and maintenance planning with built-environment legislation and statutory compliance. You will be adept with National Construction Code and Building Code of Australia requirements, as well as Annual Fire Safety Statements and applicable fire-safety standards, WHS legislation and Essential-services maintenance and statutory inspection programmes. You will also have a broad exposure to managing legislative asset-compliance requirements across live and busy institutional portfolios.

Based in inner Sydney, this fast-paced opportunity is for an initial contract period of 4 months and paid on an agency basis at a rate around $650/day plus super.
