About the role

AB & JM Bentley is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our team on a full-time basis at our farming operation in Warracknabeal, VIC 3393. This is a hands-on position that plays a vital role in maintaining the day-to-day operations of our farm. As a Farm Hand, you will be responsible for a variety of practical tasks that are essential to the smooth running of our agricultural enterprise, working alongside our experienced farming team to ensure productivity and animal welfare standards are maintained at the highest level.

Key responsibilities

- Perform general farm maintenance tasks including fencing, repairs, and upkeep of farm infrastructure and equipment
- Assist with animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, and basic health monitoring of livestock
- Help with seasonal farming activities such as planting, harvesting, and crop management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of farm facilities, sheds, and work areas
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment under supervision, following all safety protocols
- Support livestock movement and handling in a safe and humane manner
- Assist with general farm labour tasks as directed by farm management
- Monitor and report any issues or concerns related to equipment, livestock health, or facility maintenance

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding manual labour in all weather conditions
- Demonstrated experience in farm work or agricultural labour, or a strong willingness to learn and develop farming skills




- A genuine interest in agriculture and animal welfare
- Reliability, punctuality, and a robust work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
- A current, valid driver's licence is desirable
- Knowledge of farm safety practices and willingness to comply with health and safety standards
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements and seasonal variations
- Truck licence an advantage
