PSS Ag, a leading agricultural solutions provider and distributor of Precision Planting, is actively seeking a passionate individual to join our Field Service Technician role based at Horsham, Victoria.

About the role

We’re looking for a Field Service Technician, with strong trade skills and an interest in agricultural machinery and technology. The role is primarily hands-on, involving workshop builds, machine modifications, installations, and field support of precision ag equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble, modify, and install mechanical components and machinery
- Fit and service hydraulic systems, linkages, and control components
- Carry out mechanical upgrades to planters, sprayers and other agricultural equipment
- Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and on-farm technical support
- Machine inspections and performance optimisation
- Assisting growers with setup, calibration, and training
- Help run the soils lab, present data to customer
- Supporting demonstrations, field days, and customer events
- Working closely with the sales and operations team to deliver high-quality service, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards

To be successful, you will have:

- 3 years in Precision Agricultural or similar area
- Experience working with agricultural machinery, hydraulics,



or heavy equipment
- Strong fitter and mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to identify faults quickly and minimise machine downtime
- Comfortable working both in a workshop and on-farm
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Welding, fabrication, or hydraulics experience highly regarded
