About Us An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced finance professional to lead the finance function of a well-established business operating in Australia. This role suits a hands-on Finance Manager who enjoys working across a broad range of responsibilities, including finance, accounting, taxation, payroll, HR administration, systems management, and office operations. Reporting directly to senior management, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing success and compliance of the business.

Responsibilities

Financial Management & Accounting

- Oversee all financial and accounting activities, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, and group reporting packages.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, financial procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Monitor and improve financial processes to support business efficiency.
- Support and manage ERP-related processes, system administration, and reporting functions.

Payroll & Human Resources

- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with Australian legislation.
- Manage payroll tax, superannuation, leave administration, and related compliance obligations.
- Maintain HR records and support employee administration matters.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance





- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation requirements, and statutory obligations.
- Prepare or coordinate BAS, payroll tax, FBT returns, and corporate tax reporting.
- Liaise with external advisors regarding tax matters, transfer pricing requirements, and other compliance activities.
- Stay up to date with legislative and regulatory changes that may impact the business.

Systems & Process Improvement

- Lead finance-related systems projects, including ERP implementation or upgrades.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and external vendors throughout project lifecycles.
- Develop user procedures and provide training to ensure effective system adoption.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through technology and automation.

Office Operations & Administration

- Support the overall administration and operational needs of the business.
- Coordinate with external IT service providers and assist with technology-related matters.
- Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the office environment.

Your Profile

- CPA, CA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Several years of experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar position.
- Solid knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Experience with ERP systems and system implementation projects.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different business functions.
- Japanese language skills are highly desirable.
