About the role:
Reporting to the Finance & Business Operations Manager, the Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the finance function through the accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking transactions, reconciliations and finance administration activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate financial records, reconciliations and supporting documentation across banking, general ledger and finance systems.
- Supporting month-end processes, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting and related finance administration activities.
- Assisting with inventory reconciliations, product costing and external audit requirements as required.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, financial controls, delegations and established procedures.
- Identifying discrepancies, financial risks and process improvement opportunities, and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate finance data within DELMIAWorks IQMS and other business systems.
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers to support efficient business operations.
- Providing day-to-day support to the Finance & Business Operations Manager and contributing to a culture of accountability, integrity and continuous improvement.
About you:
You are a detail-oriented and organised finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing accurate work. You are proactive, reliable and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in finance, accounts administration, bookkeeping or a similar role
- Practical experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
- Strong reconciliation and data entry skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel capability
- Experience using ERP or financial management systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to follow procedures, maintain controls and exercise sound judgement
Highly regarded:
- Experience within a manufacturing or inventory-based environment
- Exposure to inventory reconciliations or product costing
- Experience with DELMIAWorks IQMS or similar ERP systems
- Relevant bookkeeping, accounting or business qualifications
