The Financial Operations and Travel Manager is responsible for overseeing Sport Integrity Australia’s (SIA) financial operations and travel functions and providing specialist advice on travel, financial administration and procurement matters. The role exercises judgement and initiative to manage operational risks, support business outcomes, maintain compliance and enhance the effectiveness of agency-wide financial and travel services. The position is responsible for delivering responsive, client-focused services and advice that support the effective operation of SIA’s corporate functions.

The selection criteria of this role include:





- demonstrated experience managing or overseeing financial operations functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, corporate credit card administration and related financial controls, while ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements
- demonstrated experience providing high-quality domestic and international travel management services and advice, including coordinating or booking international travel, interpretating and applying travel policies, procedures and entitlements, and managing complex or sensitive travel matters
- demonstrated knowledge of Australian Government procurement frameworks and the ability to provide procurement and contract management support, interpret policy requirements and contribute to compliant procurement outcomes
- demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures, identify operational risks and implement appropriate controls to support sound governance, compliance and accountability
- highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to build productive relationships, provide explicit and accurate advice and influence positive outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
- demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement, contribute to team capability and identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and service delivery
