Sommelier & Front of House Positions

Gaea, a 12-seat, one-hat tasting-menu restaurant in Fitzroy, Victoria, is looking for experienced and passionate hospitality professionals to join our team.

We are currently seeking full-time Sommelier and Front of House (FOH) team members.

Front of House

We are looking for someone with:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in fine dining
- A genuine passion for hospitality and providing exceptional guest experiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional, attentive and team-oriented approach
- Wine knowledge is a bonus, but not essential

Sommelier The successful Sommelier will be responsible for managing and developing our wine program, as well as working closely with the team to create a memorable beverage experience for our guests.

Key responsibilities include

- Organising and maintaining the wine list




- Developing and managing the alcoholic wine pairing for our tasting menu
- Creating and developing a non-alcoholic pairing
- Guiding guests through the beverage experience with confidence and knowledge
- Working closely with the kitchen and FOH team to ensure thoughtful pairings with each course
- Maintaining high standards of service and beverage presentation
