QCE is seeking a forester to support our softwood and plantation hardwood forestry operations across the broader QCE supply regions.
The role could suit someone developing their experience in either resource forestry or harvesting operations, with the opportunity to build capability across both areas.
Depending on your skills and experience, the role may include resource assessment, harvest planning and supervision, environmental and certification requirements, GIS and mapping, contractor coordination, and working closely with landowners, wood suppliers and other stakeholders.
Key attributes:
- Forestry qualification or relevant forestry experience
- Site assessment, GIS and mapping capability
- Good communication and ability to work with landowners, suppliers, contractors and stakeholders
- Practical approach to field work and problem solving
- Solid safety, certification and environmental awareness
- Current driver licence and ability to undertake regional travel
- Interest in developing practical resource and harvesting experience
