French Teacher for Children, Casual Role

Bonjour Babies is urgently seeking a warm, reliable and enthusiastic French teacher to lead a children’s French Club on Thursday afternoons. There may also be an chance to teach on Tuesday afternoons and take on additional hours as they become available.

Current hours

- Thursday afternoons, approximately 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- Possible Tuesday afternoons, approximately 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- Opportunity for additional hours in the coming weeks or Term 4.

About the role

You will lead French Club sessions for primary school-aged children using our established program and prepared lesson plans. We provide the training, teaching framework, materials and ongoing support, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging classes and building positive relationships with the children.

There is minimal preparation required and no marking or assessments to complete. Once the class is finished, there is no take-home work.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Fluent in French
- Warm,



energetic and confident engaging with children
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Able to work independently and follow an established program
- Flexible and able to adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities
- Passionate about language learning and education
- Available on Thursday afternoons, with Tuesday afternoon availability highly regarded

Requirements

- Experience working with children
- A current Working with Children Check, or willingness and ability to obtain one
- Ability to complete a police check
- A First Aid certificate is highly regarded, but can be obtained after appointment
- Teaching or education qualifications are an advantage, but not essential
