Every project is a true one-off, designed and built to the client's brief rather than pulled from a standard range of floor plans. Importantly, they've got a busy and growing pipeline at a time when much of the industry has slowed down, so this is a secure, long-term opportunity with a builder that's expanding rather than treading water.

The Role

n

This is a fantastic prospect for an experienced Estimator to take full ownership of the estimating function within a busy, growing team. Unlike a lot of estimating roles, this isn't narrow production estimating, it's genuine start-to-finish work where you'll own the numbers from the moment plans land through to handing purchase orders to the site team. You'll play a central role in the business and work closely with the director day to day. Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing detailed, accurate take-offs and bills of quantities from architectural and engineering plans

- Managing the full procurement process, farming out and coordinating quotes from trades and suppliers, which make up a significant portion of each build
n
- Preparing and delivering tenders to clients, ensuring everything aligns with the bill and the build
n




- Producing trade reports and building out production estimates once a job is won
n
- Importing production estimates into the construction management software and creating purchase orders for the site managers to release
n
- Liaising closely with the director, site managers, trades and suppliers to keep projects moving and costs under control
n

Because every home is bespoke, you'll be building each estimate from scratch rather than working off master plans and minor variations. It's a role that will genuinely suit someone who enjoys the detail and variety of custom work.

About You

n

n
- Proven estimating experience within residential construction, ideally on custom, bespoke or one-off homes
n
- A building or carpentry trade background is highly regarded and will serve you well in this role
n
- Experience with Cubit is a strong advantage; familiarity with Buildertrend is also useful
n
- Comfortable owning the full estimating process end to end, from take-off through procurement to tender
n
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
n
- Someone who can walk in, build an estimate from the ground up, and take genuine ownership of the role
