About the role

Mr Fix n Build is a small family-run business seeking a full time qualified painter responsible for carrying out a wide range of painting works across various residential properties. This role requires flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will complete tasks in all aspects of works including both internal and external areas, bathroom renovations, residential insurance works and property maintenance.

You will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing residential properties to a high skilled standard.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Minor Plastering/Patching plasterboard as required
- Protect floors, furniture, windows, and other areas from paint and damage
- Mix and match colours according to specifications
- Inspect completed work and ensure a high-quality finish
- Maintain painting tools,



equipment, and work areas
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors, and other trades
- Complete projects within agreed timeframes while maintaining quality standards

About you

- Qualified Certification
- Proven experience and diverse skillset across painting and decorating
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently or as a team with minimal supervision
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
- Valid driver's licence and White Card
- Reliable vehicle and tools
- Wage Negotiable upon experience
