Magic Tailor is a professional clothing alterations and tailoring business located in Hawthorn. We are looking for a reliable, friendly and responsible full time shop assistant to join our team.

Main Duties:

- Greet customers and provide friendly customer service
- Receive, label and organise garments
- Assist with basic garment measurements and fittings
- Explain alteration services and prices to customers
- Operate the front counter and process payments
- Iron and prepare garments when required
- Contact customers when garments are ready for collection
- Keep the shop clean, organised and presentable
- Assist with general day-to-day shop operations

We are looking for someone who:

- Has good English communication and customer service skills
- Is reliable, punctual and responsible
- Is confident communicating with customers
- Has positive attention to detail
- Is willing to learn




- Can work independently and as part of a small team
- Is comfortable working in a busy retail environment
- Previous retail, customer service or clothing industry experience would be an advantage, but is not essential
- Has a good sense of clothing, style and fashion
- Is confident with ironing and garment pressing
- Basic sewing machine skills would be highly regarded
- Mandarin Chinese speaking skills would be highly regarded

Training will be provided. This is a full-time position with approximately 38 hours per week.
