About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Function & Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of functions, events and bookings across our venue.

As Functions & Events Manager, you will be responsible for orchestrating and delivering exceptional event experiences for our customers, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale corporate functions. This role is pivotal to our business success, driving revenue growth and building lasting relationships with our customers whilst maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of functions and events, including celebrations, corporate events, birthdays, meetings, conferences and other private functions.
- Respond to function enquiries, conduct venue tours and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Meet with customers to understand their requirements, preferences, budgets and expectations.
- Develop detailed event schedules, run sheets, floor plans and function briefs.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Monitor event requirements and troubleshoot any issues that arise during functions to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve event offerings and service standards.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with customers, suppliers, and external partners to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Assist with developing function menus, packages and promotional campaigns.
- General office administration tasks, including day-to-day office operations and administrative support.
- Will be required to work across both restaurant and bar operations as needed,



providing flexibility and support to meet business requirements.

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a Functions Manager, Events Coordinator, or similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of event management processes, including planning, budgeting, logistics, and execution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers and manage expectations professionally
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
- Proficiency in events management software and Microsoft Office applications
- A strong background in Food and Beverage operations
- Strong organisational and attention-to-detail capabilities
- Ability to lead and collaborate with team members from various departments
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Applicants must hold a current RSA & RCG certification
