Registered Nurse – General Practice

Casual or Part time | Ross Street Surgery | Inverell, NSW

Ross Street Surgery is seeking an experienced and caring Registered Nurse to join our general practice team on a casual or part-time basis. Flexible rostering available.

This position would suit a reliable and organised nurse who enjoys working in a friendly, patient-focused environment and can confidently manage a varied general practice workload.

Key responsibilities

- Childhood and adult immunisations
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Health assessments and care planning
- Chronic disease management support
- ECGs, spirometry and other clinical procedures
- Infection control and cold-chain management
- Assisting GPs with minor procedures
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- General treatment-room duties

Essential requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Current Nurse Immuniser qualification/accreditation
- Current CPR certification




- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach

Desirable
- Previous experience working in general practice
- Experience or competency in suturing
- Experience with Best Practice software
- Experience in wound care, health assessments and chronic disease management

The position is available on a casual or part-time basis, with working days and hours to be discussed with the successful applicant. Competative salary dependendant on Part Time or Casual and experience.
