The Geologic Technology Advisor is an end-to-end commercial role designed for experienced mining industry professionals who understand how value is created at the operational level - and who can translate that understanding into customer relationships, commercial outcomes, and product direction.
This is not a traditional sales role, nor a traditional customer success role. It sits across the full revenue journey: from identifying and qualifying new opportunities, through deployment and value realisation, to renewal and expansion. Revenue Advisors are the primary relationship owners for their accounts and active contributors to Augment's product - market fit.
As we scale our sales team, this role is central to how we grow - deeply credible, high-impact people embedded across the full customer lifecycle.
Responsibilities
1. Market & Opportunity Development
- Identify, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities across the Australian resources sector using deep industry networks and operational credibility.
- Lead or support early discovery conversations - understanding site-level challenges, buying conditions, and where Augment's technology creates measurable value.
- Support product demonstrations, site visits, and workshops with prospective customers.
- Contribute to the refinement of commercial messaging, value propositions, and customer targeting based on field signal.
- Work alongside the Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Technology Advisor to build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
2. Deal Progression
- Take an active role in progressing opportunities through the sales cycle as the domain expert and trusted voice.
- Help structure proposals, scope deployments,
and frame commercial terms in ways that reflect operational reality for the customer.
- Ensure deals are qualified correctly and that commitments made during the sales process can be delivered.
3. Deployment & Early Value Creation
- Lead end-to-end deployment of Augment's product once a contract is secured - from onboarding and data integration through to site engagement (on and offsite for piloting and deployment planning) and go-live.
- Define and track early success criteria with the customer, ensuring measurable outcomes are documented from the outset.
- Coordinate with internal product team to resolve issues and ensure delivery quality.
- Capture structured deployment learnings and feed them back into the business.
4. Customer Success & Value Realisation
- Own the post-deployment customer relationship - building strong connections with both site-level operators and corporate stakeholders.
- Monitor adoption, usage, and value outcomes, ensuring customers understand and can articulate the impact of the technology.
- Identify expansion signals - new sites, adjacent use cases, additional modules - and progress them commercially.
- Drive renewals with confidence by maintaining continuous visibility of customer health and engagement.
5. Product Contribution
- Act as the primary conduit between the field and Augment's product and technology teams - translating operational challenges and customer feedback into structured, actionable insights.
- Participate in product planning and roadmap sessions, ensuring real-world deployment experience shapes product direction.
- Help identify where the product delivers strong, repeatable value and where adjustments are needed to reach consistent product - market fit.
- Contribute to prioritisation decisions by surfacing patterns across your customer portfolio.
6. Scalable Processes & Revenue Infrastructure
- Develop and maintain deployment playbooks, onboarding guides, training materials, and customer communication frameworks.
- Build repeatable procedures that reduce delivery friction and prepare Augment for larger-scale rollouts.
- Contribute to the internal knowledge base and the systems, tools, and processes that underpin a high-performing revenue team.
Qualifications
- Meaningful operational experience in the mining or resources sector as a production geologist - you understand how mine sites work in a production setting (end to end), who makes decisions, and what matters to operators, engineers, and site leadership.
- An understanding and experience in running various geologic software for grade control modelling and operational use in grade control workflows
- A track record of building trusted relationships in complex, technical environments - whether in operations, project delivery, commercial roles, or mining technology.
- Experience developing documentation, procedures, or training materials in operational or technical contexts.
- Willingness and ability to travel to mine sites across Australia.
