For nearly 30 years, Greenfleet has been planting and protecting native forests in Australia and New Zealand. On behalf of our supporters, Greenfleet works to remove carbon from the atmosphere and restore biodiversity and habitat for native species.

This role supports our field operation, from initial site investigation to project implementation and long-term monitoring. This role also contributes to the transparency, accountability and verification processes that underpin our business.

The Role

As GIS and Project Support Officer, you will provide the spatial data, mapping and project support that underpins Greenfleet's forest revegetation and protection activities. The role includes:

- Preparing maps and spatial reports that shape how projects are planned and delivered.
- Managing spatial datasets end to end, upholding GIS data standards and quality assurance at every step.
- Administering ArcGIS Online content and applications, keeping spatial information accurate and easy to trust.
- Being the go-to for day-to-day GIS support, troubleshooting issues and building the guides that help others improve their skills and accuracy.
- Coordinating survey plans and support landholder agreement processes.
- Contributing broader project support, quality assurance data and helping drive continuous improvement.

The Profile We're Looking For You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications: GIS, Spatial Science, Environmental Science with a GIS specialisation or a related discipline, and have at least two years putting it into practice.

Your background may include

- Environmental, conservation, forestry or land management sectors.
- Hands-on GIS administration, spatial analysis or remote sensing work.

- Experience supporting project teams with data, reporting and administrative delivery.

You bring:
- Strong technical and spatial reporting skills. You can translate complex data into something others can act on.
- The adaptability to juggle multiple project tasks and deadlines in a agile environment.
- A collaborative, team-first approach to how you work with others.
- A proactive mindset. You are comfortable researching, learning and adjusting as things evolve.
- An exploratory approach to the potential value of GIS data, always with a view to enhancing the organisation’s work through careful and considered adoption of new technology.
- A curiosity about AI and emerging technologies and look for practical opportunities to use them to work smarter, improve outputs and deliver better outcomes.

Why Greenfleet

- Meaningful environmental impact, grounded in real data.
- A values-led, collaborative team.
- Hybrid flexibility.
- A role where technical precision directly supports on-ground climate action.

If you're ready to bring care and accuracy to work that genuinely matters, we would welcome your application.
