About the role The Midweight Graphic Designer independently develops and delivers high-quality creative work across branding, print and digital media. The role translates client objectives into effective design solutions and takes responsibility for work from initial brief and concept development through feedback, artwork production and final delivery. The role is primarily hands-on and requires strong creative judgement, production knowledge and the ability to manage several clients and jobs each day with limited supervision, while collaborating closely with Bigwig's directors, project leads, digital specialists and developers.

Key responsibilities

- Develop original concepts, brand identities, visual systems and campaign directions; extend existing brands with consistency and purpose.
- Design publications, reports, brochures, campaigns, signage, exhibition graphics and other print assets; prepare technically accurate finished artwork.
- Create digital advertising, social, email, presentation, web and landing-page assets that work effectively across relevant devices and formats.
- Clarify objectives, audiences, deliverables, specifications, budgets and timing before commencing work.
- Prepare, proof and package files to the correct print, digital, supplier or development specifications.
- Work with digital and development team members on website, landing-page, email and application design requirements.
- Plan and prioritise work across several active clients and jobs each day.
- Maintain accurate job status, notes, time records, file naming and version control in Bigwig's systems.
- Identify missing information, scope changes,



timing risks or production issues early and raise them with the relevant project lead.
- Receive feedback professionally, distinguish preferences from objective requirements and make considered revisions.

About you

- 3+ years of professional graphic design experience
- Portfolio demonstrating strong brand, print and digital work
- Degree or diploma in graphic design, communication design, visual communication, or equivalent skilled experience
- Advanced Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop capability
- Strong typography, layout, colour, hierarchy and image-selection skills
- Print production, prepress and finished-art knowledge
- Digital-channel design, platform sizing and responsive-layout understanding
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Sound organisational, time-management, file-management and version-control practices
- Strong Figma capability and experience designing website, landing-page or interface layouts
