About Our Role

This is an opportunity to teach in an environment where relationships matter. You’ll take the time to understand each student’s strengths, interests and individual learning needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals. A key part of the role is Project Based Learning, where you’ll design meaningful, engaging projects that build on students’ interests while integrating curriculum outcomes across different learning areas. You will also play an important role in creating a secure, supportive and inclusive learning environment where every young person is treated with unconditional positive regard and encouraged to reach their full potential. Use calm, compassionate and effective behaviour management strategies, including supporting students through challenging situations.

Your Day-to-day Will Involve

- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences
- Develop and implement individual learning plans that respond to students' educational and behavioural needs
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress and learning outcomesBuild positive, respectful relationships with students and support their personal and academic development
- Contribute to curriculum planning and a cross-curriculum approach to learning.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, assessments and reports.
- Support a safe, respectful and inclusive school environment,



including meeting all child protection responsibilities.

About You

You bring patience, empathy and flexibility, with a genuine ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. You’re confident adapting your teaching approach to meet individual learning needs and supporting students who may have experienced disadvantage, trauma or other significant challenges. You are a calm and compassionate educator who can manage behaviour effectively while maintaining a respectful and positive learning environment. You understand the importance of seeing each student as an individual and creating a classroom where every young person feels valued, respected and supported.

In addition,

- A tertiary qualification in Education (Bachelor or equivalent) or a relevant field
- Current Queensland Teacher Registration
- Primary teaching experience, including experience delivering Project Based Learning and QCAA and/or Australian Curriculum-aligned programs
- Experience supporting young people who may be marginalised or at risk
- The flexibility to teach multiple subjects and across different year levels
- A current Australian Driver Licence
