Partnerships Director | Commercial Property & Fitout
About the Company
Ppl People are proud to partner with a highly regarded Brisbane-based commercial fitout company delivering high-quality workplace projects across South East Queensland. With a robust reputation for delivering exceptional spaces, building long-term client relationships and taking a highly collaborative approach to project delivery, the business continues to strengthen its position within Brisbane’s commercial fitout market.
As part of its next phase of growth, the business is looking to appoint a Partnerships Director to develop new relationships, strengthen its presence across key markets and create long-term opportunities with organisations requiring commercial fitout, refurbishment and workplace solutions.
This is not a traditional high-volume sales role. It is a senior, relationship-led position suited to someone who is genuinely well connected across the Brisbane property and business community and knows how to turn relationships into commercial opportunities.
About the Role
As Partnerships Director, you’ll take ownership of identifying, developing and nurturing relationships that create opportunities for the business.
Your network may sit across corporate occupiers and major businesses requiring office space, commercial property owners, private landlords, property funds, asset managers, developers or property advisors.
Alternatively, the business is particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have an established network across hotels and hospitality, with this being a key sector they would like to grow further into.
Rather than focusing purely on immediate tenders, your role will be to build relationships early, understand upcoming property and accommodation requirements and ensure the business is front of mind when opportunities arise. You’ll work closely with the leadership, pre-construction and delivery teams to develop opportunities from the earliest conversation through to tender and project award.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the business development and partnerships strategy across Brisbane and SEQ
- Build relationships with corporate occupiers and organisations with upcoming workplace or office requirements
- Develop strong relationships with property funds, private commercial landlords, asset managers and property owners
- Identify upcoming fitout, refurbishment and relocation opportunities before they formally enter the market
- Leverage and expand an existing network across the Brisbane commercial property community
- Develop referral partnerships with key industry stakeholders and advisors
- Represent the business at industry events, functions and networking opportunities
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of future project opportunities
- Work closely with leadership and pre-construction teams on pitches, proposals and tenders
- Maintain relationships throughout the project lifecycle to create repeat and referral business
- Identify opportunities to expand further into hotel and hospitality fitout
- Act as a senior ambassador for the business within the market
About You
We are open-minded about where you have developed your network. More important than your exact job title is your ability to open doors, build genuine relationships and create commercial opportunities.
You may currently be working within:
- Commercial fitout or construction business development
- Commercial property, leasing or tenant representation
- Workplace strategy or project advisory
- Property funds, asset management or development
- Commercial real estate
- Architecture, design or workplace consultancy
- Hotels, hospitality or accommodation
- Another relationship-led position with strong exposure to property decision-makers
Ideally, you will bring:
- An established professional network across Brisbane and/or SEQ
- Strong relationships with corporate decision-makers, property owners, landlords, funds or advisors
- OR an entrenched network across the hotel and hospitality sector
- A proven ability to develop relationships that translate into genuine commercial opportunities
- Strong understanding of relationship-led business development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Confidence engaging with senior executives, owners and property decision-makers
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- The ability to represent a premium brand credibly within the market
- A genuine interest in building long-term partnerships rather than transactional sales
What’s in It for You?
- Step into a highly influential Director-level growth role
- Join an established Brisbane commercial fitout business with a strong industry reputation
- Leverage your existing network while continuing to build your profile in the market
- Work directly alongside the senior leadership team
- Significant autonomy over how you develop relationships and opportunities
- Opportunity to help shape the company’s growth strategy
- Play a key role in expanding the business into new sectors including hotels and hospitality
- Work across high-quality commercial workplace and refurbishment projects
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial and relationship-focused environment
- Competitive senior remuneration package aligned with experience
This role would suit someone who is exceptionally well connected, commercially minded and naturally good at bringing people together.
You don’t necessarily need to come from a traditional construction business development background. If you understand the Brisbane market, have trusted relationships with organisations that procure commercial space or fitout services, and know how to turn those relationships into opportunities, we would love to hear from you.
