The Opportunity
Our expanding Transport division is looking for an experienced Heavy Rigid (HR) and Heavy Combination (HC)driver to take the wheel of one of our Semi Live Bottom and 10-Wheeler Rigid trucks in metro Melbourne. You’ll play a critical role in carting a range of soils and quarry products, as well as helping divert millions of tonnes of demolition and construction waste from landfill.
Delta operates a fleet of bin trucks, truck & dog tippers, road sweepers, and other vehicles servicing our civil and demolition businesses and external customers.
Key responsibilities
· Operate HR and HC vehicles safely and efficiently across metro Melbourne
· Transport soils, quarry materials, and construction waste
· Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and safety regulations
· Maintain vehicles to a high standard and report any issues
· Follow all site rules and safety procedures
· Work collaboratively within a team setting
· Deliver excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
· Be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
· A valid HC licence
· Current VicRoads driving history report
· 2 years minimum proven experience driving a truck & trailer and semi flocom
· Strong knowledge of the Melbourne metropolitan area
· Commitment to safety and CoR compliance
· Flexibility with working hours
· Professional presentation and strong work ethic
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
