MAYA Mexican is looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and take ownership of our food offering.

We’re looking for a chef who understands Mexican cuisine, bold flavours and modern hospitality, and who can bring strong leadership, organisation and consistency to a busy venue.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading the team and ensuring consistently high standards across food quality, preparation, presentation and service.

You will also have the opportunity to influence the menu, develop specials and bring your own knowledge and creativity to the MAYA concept.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop the kitchen team
- Maintain consistently high food and presentation standards
- Oversee preparation and service across all sections
- Develop and maintain Mexican-inspired menus and specials
- Manage food costs, stock control and kitchen wastage
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures are followed
- Manage kitchen rosters and labour costs
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Work closely with the Venue Manager and FOH team to deliver a outstanding guest experience

About You We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience as a Head Chef




- Has a strong knowledge and passion for Mexican cuisine
- Is confident leading and developing a kitchen team
- Understands food costing, stock management and kitchen systems
- Can maintain composure and organisation in a busy service
- Takes pride in quality, consistency and presentation
- Is hands-on and leads by example
- Has strong communication and leadership skills
- Is creative, commercially minded and passionate about hospitality

Mexican cuisine experience is highly desirable, although we are also open to chefs with a strong understanding of Latin American cuisine and the creativity to develop within the MAYA concept. What We Offer
