The role

Blue chip Australian technology business with AI already in production at consumer scale is appointing an accountable Head of AI. The first wins came from a bounded, high-volume, well-instrumented domain.

The next phase is harder: taking AI from one operational success into the rest of the enterprise, with a P&L; attached. You own the roadmap, the budget, which use cases are funded and which are killed, and the evidence that says it worked. In the first 90 days you produce a ranked use-case list with named business owners, one funded use case in build, and a year-one cost model the executive can read.





What you bring

- You have led an enterprise-wide AI initiative end to end. Not a pilot.
- You can name the business outcome it produced, with the number.
- You have taken a metric to an executive or board and explained how it was calculated.
- Practical generative AI deployment, not theory. You know what a production agent costs to run.
- Comfortable owning a number, not just a roadmap, in a lean in-source engineering culture.
- Sydney, hybrid with real office presence.
