Tour De Cure

Sydney

Join Tour de Cure as Head of Marketing & Communications and lead a talented, high-performing team delivering campaigns that grow participation, fundraising and impact. This 12-month maternity cover role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the fight against cancer. Full-time preferred, though part-time considered for the right candidate.

Make your experience matter

Tour de Cure is looking for an experienced Head of Marketing & Communications to join us on a 12-month maternity cover contract and lead our Marketing & Communications function.

This is an opportunity to join a well-respected, purpose-led organisation, lead a high-performing team and work alongside an exceptional network of corporate partners, Board and committee members, business leaders, researchers, media, ambassadors and supporters.

Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of the Leadership Team, you’ll lead the delivery and optimisation of our strategic roadmap while continuing to evolve our campaigns, customer journeys and marketing capability – driving greater participation, fundraising, engagement and impact.

This is a hands-on role for someone equally comfortable setting direction, making decisions and delivering. Most importantly, you’ll be able to see the connection between the work you lead and Tour de Cure’s mission: curing cancer and changing lives.

What you will do

You’ll lead the Marketing & Communications function across strategy, campaigns, brand, communications, digital, CRM and growth, including:

- Delivering Tour de Cure’s Marketing & Communications strategic roadmap and annual campaign plan.
- Leading integrated marketing across our B2C and B2B campaigns, events, community and fundraising initiatives.
- Driving growth in participant acquisition, retention, engagement and fundraising performance.
- Using data and audience insights to continually improve campaigns, customer journeys, channel mix and conversion.
- Strengthening the Tour de Cure brand and ensuring our impact is embedded across our communications.
- Overseeing PR, media, content, social and digital activity to grow awareness, engagement and advocacy.
- Continuing Marketing’s adoption of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Next, improving customer journeys,

segmentation, automation and marketing effectiveness.
- Identifying marketing-led opportunities to grow participation, fundraising, revenue and supporter lifetime value.
- Leading and developing the Marketing & Communications team and managing marketing resources, budget, contractors and suppliers.
- Contributing to organisational strategy and decision-making as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

You’ll also lead media, content and communications pre- and during our 10-day Signature Tour in March 2027, working with media partners, crews, talent, partners and spokespeople to maximise national exposure and tell the stories of our mission and impact. Interstate travel and participation in key Tour de Cure events will be required.

About you

You’re an experienced marketing and communications leader who combines strategic thinking with the ability to make things happen.

You’ll bring

- Senior experience leading Marketing & Communications, ideally within a purpose-led, fundraising, events, membership, consumer or similarly complex organisation.
- A track record of delivering integrated campaigns that drive measurable participation, acquisition, fundraising or revenue outcomes.
- Strong capability across brand, digital, CRM, content, communications, social and PR.
- A commercial mindset and the ability to connect marketing activity to organisational growth and revenue outcomes.
- Strong understanding of customer journeys, segmentation, CRM and marketing automation; Salesforce or Marketing Cloud experience is highly regarded.
- Confidence using data and insights to evaluate performance and improve campaigns.
- Strong people leadership skills and the ability to provide clarity, direction and accountability to a high-performing team.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence working with Board members,

senior executives, corporate partners and cross-functional teams.
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining comfortable being hands-on when required.

Why Tour de Cure?

At Tour de Cure, you’ll have the opportunity to do great work while contributing to something much bigger.

You’ll enjoy

- Salary packaging benefits available as part of working for a not-for-profit organisation.
- Flexible, hybrid working, balancing time in our Eveleigh office with working from home.
- Purpose with real impact – your work helps drive the participation and fundraising that enables investment in cancer research, support programs and prevention projects.
