About the role The Head of Pastoral Care (Primary) will oversee pastoral care, behaviour management, and student wellbeing across the Primary school, while contributing to whole-school leadership. This role includes a teaching component, maintaining a close relationship with the student body and current best practice.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee pastoral care, behaviour management, and student wellbeing across the Primary school
- Guide students in behavioural and disciplinary matters based on Christian principles consistent with the College's ethos
- Develop and implement policies relating to student behaviour management
- Work effectively as part of a leadership team, fostering support and cooperation
- Handle sensitive issues with sound judgement and confidentiality
- Bring a teaching component to the role, maintaining a close relationship with the student body
- Contribute to whole-school leadership
- Shape culture and support teaching teams
- Build strong relationships with students, staff and parents

- Mature and relational Christian leader with a vibrant, growing faith
- Active commitment to a local church congregation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to successfully engage students, staff and parents
- Excellent organisational ability and sound decision-making
- Dedicated to Christian education
