Role Description The Health and Safety Specialist APAC is a hands-on role responsible for driving safety, health, and environmental compliance across MiTek operations in Australia and New Zealand. This is a pivotal H&S; role that works closely with leadership teams and operational teams to achieve H&S; objectives, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a hands-on EHS partner, providing support and guidance to all teams across APAC.
- Ensure compliance with Australian and Current Zealand EHS legislation.
- Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments and safety observations across APAC locations
- Partner with leaders and teams across all sites to embed safety-first culture
- Work closely with operations team to support and coach safety behaviour
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Provide EHS reporting, analysis and improvement plans.




- Support development and implementation of APAC sustainability strategy and environmental roadmap.
- Lead waste, energy, emissions and environmental improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate EHS and environmental training programs across the organisation
- Maintain EHS policies, procedures, and management systems to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial or logistics environments is a must
- Strong knowledge of AU/NZ EHS legislation.
- Experience with sustainability and environmental improvement programs.
- Experience implementing EHS management systems and leading audits and investigations.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Australia and New Zealand sites.
