About the role
You'll work alongside some of Australia's most experienced healthcare architects on major projects from planning and design through documentation and construction. Depending on your experience, you'll have the opportunity to lead significant components of major healthcare projects, work directly with health service clients, clinicians and other key stakeholders, develop functional and clinical planning solutions, coordinate complex multidisciplinary consultant teams, lead design and documentation packages, resolve technically complex architectural and clinical issues, mentor and support less experienced architects and graduates, and take genuine ownership of project outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead significant components of major healthcare projects
- Work directly with health service clients, clinicians and other key stakeholders
- Develop functional and clinical planning solutions
- Coordinate complex multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Lead design and documentation packages
- Resolve technically complex architectural and clinical issues
- Mentor and support less experienced architects and graduates
- Take genuine ownership of project outcomes
About you
- Minimum 5 years' architectural experience, including at least 3 years' experience in the planning, design, documentation or delivery of hospital and healthcare projects
- Experience in hospital planning, design, documentation and/or delivery
- A good understanding of clinical workflows and the functional requirements of healthcare environments
- Experience working with clients, clinicians, consultants and project stakeholders
- Strong design, technical and problem-solving skills
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience preparing high-quality design and construction documentation
- Competency in Revit
- Australian architectural registration or eligibility for registration, or an equivalent recognised architectural qualification
