Ilim College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Health & Physical Education (HPE) Teacher to join our Dallas Primary Campus for the 2027 school year.

This is a part-time, fixed-term replacement position, working three days per week. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Health and Physical Education programs that encourage students to develop healthy habits, physical skills, teamwork and a positive attitude towards lifelong physical activity.

About the Role

As a Health & PE Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences for primary students in accordance with the Victorian Curriculum and the College's teaching and learning expectations. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to participate, develop confidence and build their physical and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver high-quality Health and Physical Education lessons for primary-aged students.
- Develop engaging learning activities that promote physical fitness, movement skills, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
- Assess and monitor student learning and provide meaningful feedback.
- Create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
- Maintain appropriate records of student learning, assessment and progress.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute positively to the wider College community.
- Participate in relevant school activities, meetings and professional learning.




- Support and uphold the values, policies and child safety expectations of Ilim College.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Appropriate teaching qualifications.
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Demonstrated ability to teach Health and Physical Education within a primary school environment.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- The ability to develop positive and respectful relationships with students, colleagues and families.
- Strong communication, organisational and collaborative skills.
- A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- A willingness to support and uphold the values and ethos of Ilim College.
