?? Australian-based & ?? New Zealand candidates welcome An established transport business based in Smeaton Grange, NSW is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified Diesel Mechanic with solid experience working on heavy road vehicles and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, repairs and fault-finding.
? THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include
Servicing and maintaining heavy road vehicles
Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
Preventative maintenance and inspections
Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting
Component repairs and replacement
Keeping vehicles safe, reliable and operational
Working to required safety and maintenance standards
Working as part of an experienced team
? ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic experience
- Experience working on trucks or heavy road vehicles
- Good mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Robust preventative maintenance knowledge
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Good safety awareness
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with heavy commercial vehicles, trucks or transport fleets will be highly regarded.
