Well-Established Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Workshop We are a well-established heavy vehicle mechanical workshop based in Rocklea, with more than 40 years of combined transport and heavy vehicle mechanical experience across our team.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Diesel Fitters, Trailer Mechanics and Truck Wheel Alignment Technicians to join our workshop team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position working on a large variety of new and older vehicles, including fleet trucks, prime movers, trailers and light vehicles. Our workshop services a wide range of transport and heavy vehicle equipment, including:
- Truck and trailer wheel alignments
- Servicing and general maintenance of heavy vehicles
- Prime movers and light to heavy trucks
- Heavy vehicle trailers
- Diagnostic procedures and fault finding
- Engine repairs and mechanical repairs
- Steering and suspension components
- Preventative maintenance
- Mobile and on-site repairs
- General repairs and servicing
About You
The successful applicant will ideally have experience as a:
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Mechanical, Automotive or Trailer Mechanics — preferred but not essential
- 3+ years' relevant industry experience
- Experience with general repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance
- Experience working on prime movers, heavy vehicle trailers and light vehicles
- Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- A practical, hands-on approach to mechanical work
- Excellent work ethic and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage tasks autonomously
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Current Truck Licence — preferred but not essential
- Current Driver Licence — preferred
- Current and relevant qualifications, licenses, tickets and certificates are encouraged to be submitted with your application
- Must be currently based in Queensland
- Must have full rights to work in Australia
