MSO Specialist

Full Time | Permanent

The Role:

To provide hands-on operational, technical & training support across all facets of the customer production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strict adherence to standardised repair process & enforce same with site staff
- Ability to quickly identify and remedy on-site production bottlenecks
- Hands on role – vehicle preparation, paint mixing, paint application in line with site requirements
- Ongoing equipment maintenance – spray equipment / UV & IR lamps / gun-wash machines / color tools etc.
- Ability to train, mentor and discipline customer paint & panel staff as required
- Staff training - In office & PPG Training Centre, one on one training, staff assessments, and pre-employment assessments
- Monthly Site Audits to identify areas of concern in relation to EHS, process and operations

Requirements:

- Ideally 5 years plus of hands-on experience within a high-volume vehicle repair environment
- Experience with process driven environments




- High level of interpersonal & communication skills at all levels of business
- Ability to enforce process is a non-negotiable requirement
- Understanding of labour productivity and the relationship to overall profitability.
- Sound planning, time management and organisational skills.
- Extensive knowledge of PPG products and application systems.
- Knowledge of LEAN principles
- Basic computer & literary competency in regard to email and other electronic communication
- Be self-motivated to achieve the required work tasks efficiently during the working day
- Hold and maintain a current / valid motor vehicle driver license
- Complete all mandatory company training both internal or external as required, whether in person or online
- Adherence to all EHS policies at both PPG and Customer sites
- Ensure compliance with PPG Ethics policy
- Comply with the Travel and Entertainment policy
- All PPG sites and vehicles are Smoke Free environments
- Comply with the PPG Company Vehicle Policy
