About the Opportunity

Reporting totheSpeech PathologyClinical Leadand Practice Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience while workingwith children and adults with diverse support needs. You will contribute to meaningful outcomes that enhance participants quality of life and promote their independence and inclusion. Delivering therapy inour custom designed therapy rooms as well asnatural settings such as homes, schools,workplacesand community settings.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Engage effectively with participants,familiesand external stakeholders to ensure person-centred outcomes.
n




- Conduct comprehensive speech and communication assessments for NDIS participants.
n
- Design and implement evidence-based therapy plans that promote positive outcomes and reduce barriers to communication.
n
- Deliver training and guidance to families,carersand staff on implementing communication strategies and therapy plans.
n
- Ensure all interventionscomply withorganisational policies, procedures,NDIS Code of Conduct andadheresto the SPAprofessionalstandards.
n
- Develop therapy and support strategies that reflect each participant's goals, preferences and values ensuring they have an active role in their planning.
n
- Maintainaccurateandtimelyclinical documentation in line with defensible documentation standards.
n
- Manage workflow and ensure a positive high-performing team culture.
n

About You

n

You willdemonstrateintegrity, respect and accountability in your work and value collaboration and continuous learning. To be effective in this role you will requirestrong communicationskills both written and verbal and can communicate effectively with participants,stakeholdersand colleagues.

To be successful you will have:

n

n




- Minimum1 year experience as a Speech Pathologist
n
- Strong clinical skills in the assessment,diagnosisand treatment of a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
- A commitment to person-centred practice and positive outcomes
n
- Current driver's licenceanda registered andcomprehensivelyinsured vehiclefor work purposes.
n
- Flexibility to travel acrossSydney suburbs
n
- National Criminal History Check, NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check
n
