Labourer

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking reliable and hardworking Labourers / Road Workers to join a major civil infrastructure team based in the Port Macquarie, NSW region. This is an excellent chance to secure ongoing full-time work with competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and the chance to contribute to the maintenance and construction of vital road infrastructure across the Mid North Coast region.

This assignment is available for an immediate start and is expected to continue through to 19 December 2026, subject to operational requirements.

What's on Offer?

- $45.45 per hour + 12% superannuation
- Immediate start available
- Full-time hours: 38 hours per week
- Monday to Friday roster
- Overtime available, with up to 2 additional hours per day likely
- 9-day fortnight roster with an ADO (Accrued Day Off)
- Long-term contract opportunity through to December 2026
- Work with a highly respected civil infrastructure team

About the Role

As a Labourer / Road Worker, you will perform a variety of physical and hands-on tasks assisting with road construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support skilled tradespeople, plant operators, and truck drivers to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.





Key responsibilities include:

- Road maintenance and construction activities
- General labouring duties on civil works sites
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assisting plant operators, truck drivers, and trades personnel
- Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
- Site preparation and clean‑up activities
- Following traffic management and safety procedures
- Working safely in and around live traffic environments

Mandatory Requirements

- Construction White Card
- Workers on Foot (WOF) Ticket
- Current Driver Licence
- Previous construction or civil labouring experience

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

Highly regarded but not essential:

- Implement Traffic Control Plans Ticket
- Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans Ticket
- Current MR Truck Licence
- Plant operating competencies including:
- Roller
- Loader
- Excavator

You are a safety-focused and dependable team player with experience working in construction, civil, or road maintenance environments. You enjoy hands-on work, can follow directions effectively, and are willing to contribute wherever required to support project outcomes.
