About the company Our client is a family-owned, vertically integrated beef business spanning breeding, backgrounding, cropping, feedlot finishing and branded domestic and export sales. Its Southern Downs operation, focusing on premium Wagyu, has quadrupled in size, and continues to invest heavily in their systems, infrastructure and people. This feedlot forms only part of the foundation on which they are striving to become Australia's - and one of the world's - leading wagyu beef production operations.

About the role This newly created role will lead the livestock team and assist with broader feedlot operations at a 10,000-head Wagyu feedlot near Warwick, QLD. This is an exciting opportunity to progress into wider feedlot management as the business continues to grow. Reporting to the Feedlot Manager, duties will include: Leading cattle intake, induction, movements, drafting, exits and hospital care. Developing the livestock team through clear planning, training and feedback. Assisting with the management of milling/feeding, maintenance, QA, and administration operations. Maintaining NFAS, QA, welfare, safety, biosecurity and livestock records.



Supporting continuous improvement strategies across procedures, reporting, data quality and electronic systems. For a full list of responsibilities, a detailed position description can be provided upon request.

Skills & experience

- Previous leadership experience in a feedlot or similar livestock operations.
- Hands-on livestock health, movements, induction and hospital expertise.
- Practical cattle nutrition, animal health and farm management knowledge.
- Experience with Elynx and/or FY3000 (desirable)
- Full Australian working rights and an open driver's licence.
