Horticulture Quality Control Team Member

Established Tree Transplanters is seeking a dedicated Horticulture Quality Control Team Member to join our Hoddles Creek farm on a full time basis.

This is a hands on role within our nursery operations with a strong focus on quality control, plant health, pruning and presentation of our field grown and containerised stock.

This role is ideally suited to someone with a genuine interest in horticulture, who takes pride in producing quality trees and contributing to the continued success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

· Understand the seasonal growth patterns, pruning requirements and shaping techniques for a variety of tree species located on the farm.

· Conduct regular inspections to monitor plant health and identify issues relating to watering, fertilising, pest and disease management.

· General tree farm duties as required by the Farm Manager o Loading and unloading of trucks and trailers o Harvesting mature field trees and the protection of their roots o Potting and potting-on of contanerised trees o Transferring stock between designated areas of the farm o Staking of and securing of trees as required o Basic irrigation o Application of chemicals and organic treatments o Maintain a clean, secure and organised work environment

About you

· Has a genuine interest in horticulture and a willingness to learn and develop their skills





· Has an understanding of safe work practices and takes workplace health and safety seriously

· Is physically capable of performing the duties required, including outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

· Is reliable, motivated and able to follow direction from the Farm Manager and management team

· Has a positive, hands-on approach and is willing to assist across all areas of the farm as requested

Horticulture experience or qualifications will be highly regarded, but a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for working with plants are equally important
