What's the brief?

We're partnering with a large, purpose-led organisation in the health and employment services space to find an experienced HR Business Partner for an initial six-month contract.

This is a broad generalist role supporting corporate functions including Finance, IT and People & Culture, where you'll partner with everyone from Team Leaders through to senior executives.

You'll take ownership across the employee lifecycle - coaching leaders, supporting recruitment, navigating employee matters, assisting with transformation and identifying opportunities to make things work better.

The business moves quickly, so there's plenty of BAU to keep you busy, but that's only part of the opportunity.

There's a significant People agenda underway, including a new payroll system, career and remuneration frameworks, workforce optimisation, AI, transformation and continuous improvement. Depending on your interests and workload, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in projects well beyond the day-to-day.

You'll join an established People & Culture team with specialist support across areas including ER/IR and Remuneration & Benefits, giving you the space to focus on genuine partnering rather than having to be the expert in everything.

Is This Your Perfect Match?

You're a well-rounded HR Business Partner who likes pace, variety and having ownership of your portfolio.

You don't need a lot of handholding. Once you understand the business, its systems and ways of working, you're comfortable using your judgement, making decisions and knowing when something genuinely needs to be escalated.

You're warm, authentic and relationship focused,

but you're also confident enough to provide direction and challenge thinking when needed.

You'll be comfortable moving between the practical and the bigger picture. One day could involve recruitment, an employee movement and coaching a leader; the next could see you contributing to a transformation project or exploring how AI could improve a People process.

Most importantly, you enjoy being busy and you're someone stakeholders can rely on to get things moving.

Your Role in Action

- Partner with leaders across Finance, IT and central People & Culture functions
- Provide end-to-end HR support and advice across the employee lifecycle
- Coach managers and leaders across performance and general people matters
- Manage employee movements and support organisational restructures
- Provide generalist ER/IR advice, with specialist support available for more complex matters
- Manage end-to-end recruitment across your portfolio as required
- Connect leaders with Learning & Development and broader specialist People support
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple locations
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across People processes
- Support the implementation of a new payroll system
- Contribute to career and remuneration framework initiatives
- Get involved in workforce optimisation, transformation and broader People projects
- Help explore the opportunities and risks presented by AI across People & Culture

- Facilitate cross-functional conversations and focus groups to improve systems, processes and ways of working

What You Bring

- Strong HR Business Partner or senior generalist HR experience
- Broad capability across the end-to-end employee lifecycle
- Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders and adapting your approach to different personalities
- Solid coaching, influencing and relationship-building skills
- Sound generalist employee relations knowledge
- The ability to work autonomously, exercise good judgement and make decisions within established frameworks
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and genuine interest in continuous improvement
- Experience supporting organisational change, transformation or People projects
- End-to-end recruitment capability
- Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail
- Dayforce, M&A; or broader HR transformation experience would be advantageous but isn't essential

Why This Role?

- Genuine HR Business Partner remit with plenty of ownership
- Highly flexible hybrid working – typically only 1–2 office days per week
- Choose from Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney
- Broad exposure across Finance, IT and People & Culture stakeholders
- Strong specialist support around you, including dedicated ER/IR and Remuneration & Benefits expertise
