HSE Advisor

Lower Wonga, QLD | 18-Month Contract | Renewable Energy Construction Project Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading renewable energy organisation to recruit an experienced HSE Advisor for a major utility-scale solar farm project in Lower Wonga.

This is a largely site-based role supporting the safe and compliant delivery of construction activities. You will work closely with the GC, contractors, project teams and stakeholders to drive positive safety outcomes, ensure compliance with HSE requirements, and promote a strong safety culture across site.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day HSE support across the project
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance monitoring
- Support risk assessments, investigations and corrective actions
- Monitor contractor HSE performance and compliance
- Facilitate toolbox talks, workshops and site engagement activities
- Participate in project risk reviews, pre-mobilisation and commissioning activities
- Support environmental compliance obligations and reporting requirements




- Prepare HSE reports and project performance metrics

About You

- Highly adaptable, self-starter, able to work autonomously
- Minimum 3 years' HSE experience within construction, client-side preferred
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum).
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or related discipline is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Australian HSE legislation
- Experience working within ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Solid communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to build relationships and positively influence safe behaviours on site
