We are currently seeking an experienced EHS Supervisor to join our growing team based in Perth.
As a specialist subcontractor in a high-risk industry, we are looking for someone to hit the ground running to oversee the on-site implementation and ongoing improvement of our EHS systems.
Knowledge of on-site safety in a heavy machinery construction environment is essential.
Working closely with our State Manager, National Safety Manager and on-site operational teams, you will provide expert guidance, documentation, training, and support to ensure regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and a strong culture of safety and environmental stewardship across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and implement site-specific OHS and environmental documentation (Management Plans, SOPs, SWMS, Risk Assessments)
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to monitor compliance and effectiveness of WHS and environmental controls
- Investigate incidents, analyse trends, and provide recommendations for WHS and environmental system improvements
- Lead and participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and implement safe work protocols, raising and addressing safety and environmental issues with teams and management
- Support maintenance of 2nd and 3rd party safety and environmental certifications (AS/NZS-45001, ISO-14001)
- Conduct WHS and environmental induction training for new employees and contractors
- Develop and present toolbox meetings, pre-start topics, and targeted safety presentations
- Liaise with client site safety personnel, principal contractors, regulators, and external auditors
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of safety, incident, and environmental documentation
Ideally, we seek candidates with:
- Knowledge of and experience working in the piling industry
- Tertiary qualification in WHS, Environmental Management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Cert IV in training and Assessing
- Proven experience in WHS and environmental management within the construction and mining industries
- Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and standards (AS/NZS-45001, ISO-14001)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WHS/environmental management systems
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
