PARKER HANNIFIN, Australia’s only single source supplier of fluid power and fluid connector products, is currently seeking the services of a Hydraulic Assembler to work day shift within our Wodonga Manufacturing Facility.
Reporting to the Hydraulics Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and completing work through the various assembly areas according to work plans in a timely and efficient manner, helping to achieve premier customer service. This includes undertaking all duties associated with the production of hydraulic and pneumatic products, including assembly, testing, cleaning, painting, manual machining, order picking, dispatch support and completion of relevant quality procedures.
Working as an integral member of the Hydraulics team, you will help ensure customer orders are completed efficiently, on time and in accordance with strict QA standards. You will complete work orders in JDE, ensure jobs align with drawing specifications, report non-conformances, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively with team members. You will also participate in HPT and team meetings, support production and QA problem-solving, follow OH&S; requirements, maintain housekeeping standards, and actively contribute to 5S, Lean and continuous improvement activities.
To be successful in this position, you must have at least 2-3 years’ previous demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, make-to-order manufacturing environment, ideally within a similar mechanical assembly role. You will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new tasks quickly, sound knowledge of manufacturing and production principles,
including safety and safe work practices, and a basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic products.
You will possess a high degree of initiative and personal motivation, a solid work ethic, a proactive attitude and a willingness to continually learn and develop. Solid problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt and troubleshoot when issues arise, effective communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
