The Chance

Information Division is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to join the Delivery Management team.

The Delivery

Management section provides end-to-end project planning, delivery and governance oversight for the Attorney-General's Department's ICT portfolio, delivering strategic initiatives across software development, cyber security, cloud migration, and digital transformation. This role involves building strong relationships, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring stakeholder needs and expectations are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

As an ICT Project Manager, you will:

- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID registers, benefits realisation plans, and other key project artefacts.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising technical specialists, business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners to achieve project outcomes and milestones.
- Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating matters where required.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Government policies and standards, including the Essential Eight, Information Security Manual (ISM), and Digital Experience Policy.
- Manage procurement activities, vendor performance, project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare and present high-quality executive reports, briefings, committee papers, and presentations to governance forums and senior executives.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, operational handover, change management and knowledge transfer activities to support the successful adoption and sustainability of project outcomes.

promoting best practices, supporting capability uplift, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and skills:

- Minimum five years' experience as an ICT Project Manager, with a proven track record of delivering technical projects end-to-end in the infrastructure and software development space.
- Demonstrated understanding of enterprise IT environments, with knowledge of system integration, architecture principles, cyber security, and modern technology delivery practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of vendor and in-house resources, fostering collaboration and delivering outcomes within agreed milestones and timeframes.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in a rapid-paced environment.
- Strong experience in procurement, vendor management and contract management across Commonwealth government environments,



with the ability to manage vendor performance to ensure value for money and successful delivery of contracted outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in project financial management, including budget reporting, resource and budget forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and resource capacity planning.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner, and other project management and reporting tools to deliver outcomes using agile, waterfall, and hybrid project and delivery management methodologies. Relevant project management certifications.

To be eligible for employment at the Attorney-General’s Department applicants must be Australian citizens.

Applicants offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a police record check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a specified clearance level. The successful applicant must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.

Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.

A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created from this process, and will be active for 18 months after the date of this gazettal.
