$32 per hour + Super

We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in The Basin on a part-time basis.

This is a hands‑on role within a large, well-established residential aged care home comprising nine residential wings, supported by a cooperative kitchen team and a welcoming community of residents.

Working within a structured and supportive environment, you will play an important role in preparing nutritious, high‑quality meals that contribute to the health, wellbeing and dining experience of our residents.

This position also provides opportunities for ongoing employment and career development within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and present fresh, nutritious and high‑quality meals for residents and staff
- Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
- Prepare texture‑modified meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean,



safe and well‑organised kitchen while following food safety and WHS requirements
- Provide friendly, efficient service and contribute positively to a respectful team environment

Skills and Experiences

About You

- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Chef role, with aged care experience essential
- Strong ability to prepare and deliver high‑quality meals in a care‑focused environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Solid organisation, time management and attention to detail, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing

- Successful applicants must have a current year Flu Vaccination and undertake a National Criminal History Check, or be willing to obtain one.
